Why should I foster?

When you foster, you agree to take a homeless dog into your home and give him or her love, care, and attention; either for a predetermined period of time or until the dog is adopted. When you foster a dog, the rescue provides you the food, toys, supplies, treats - everything you need for a dog - you just take care of him until he is adopted! So you get to take care of a dog at no cost to you!

Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). If you think you would like to volunteer your time and take in a dog to foster for us, please complete the application below

Please note that when you agree to foster, the rescue will pay for expenses concerning to the care for the dog (food, vet visits, medications, supplies, etc.). The foster home agrees to hereby forever release, and covenant to hold harmless the Doghouse Rescue Academy, its members, representatives, officers, directors, Board members, and any other person, firm, or corporation charged or chargeable with responsibility or liability, from any and all claims, damages, costs, expenses, loss of services, actions and causes of action incurred as a result of this dog entering into foster care.
